Your Role

Join a vibrant and ambitious early-stage startup and play a key role in driving product and process development. Together, we design and develop next-generation instruments, materials, and processes for critical microchip technology areas, including IoT, quantum technologies, telecommunications, and biomedicine.

We are looking for two talented colleagues to join us on this journey.

Key Responsibilities

‍You will contribute to strengthening our core capabilities through:

  • Designing and implementing next-generation chip production equipment

  • Developing advanced micro- and nanofabrication processes for critical applications

  • Performing materials characterization and analysis

  • Software engineering and machine control

  • Collaborating on projects with leading international R&D organizations

  • Preparing technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders

  • Actively contributing to a positive and collaborative startup culture

About Copenhagen Microsystems

Founded in December 2025, Copenhagen Microsystems builds on original research dating back to 2008 and recent scientific breakthroughs at DTU. Our mission is to commercialize 3D nanolithography and deliver transformative value to the microchip industry.

Our founding team brings diverse expertise across disciplines, geographies, and cultures. We are supported by the EU and private investors. We expect two other relevant and strong organizations will commit to support in September 2026. With our first customer delivery nearly complete, we are expanding our team to take on new challenges alongside national and international partners.

Skills & Qualifications

We are seeking collaborative and curious engineers with 3+ years of experience and strengths in one or more of the following areas:

  • Mechanical design and implementation

  • Process development and materials characterization

  • Mechatronics and digital control

  • Vacuum and cryogenic technologies

  • Micro- and nanofabrication

Educational background. Bachelor's of Engineering or Master's of Science and Engineering in materials science, chemical, mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics, or physics. A PhD in fields such as MEMS, materials science, quantum technology, photonics, robotics, or applied physics is an advantage.
